Top 12 Puppets for Christmas 2026

Christmas favourites for 2026

Every year I am asked which puppets are likely to be the most popular at Christmas. Some favourites return year after year, while others suddenly capture everyone's imagination.

Here are twelve puppets that I think deserve a place on this year's list.

Classic favourites - Sesame Street and Humpty Dumpty!

For dinosaur and animal fans

For children who love quirky characters

Whether you are shopping for a preschool child, a budding storyteller or simply looking for something a little different this Christmas, these puppets have all proved popular with families, teachers and therapists throughout Ireland.

Christmas is always full of surprises, but one thing rarely changes: children still love a puppet that makes them laugh, makes them use their imagination and invites them to tell stories.
