But did you know that Puppets Ireland is the sister website of Mimitoys.ie, a trusted Irish toy shop that has been serving families, educators, and therapists for over 20 years?

It’s simple: focus, clarity, and community.

Over the past three years, puppets have become one of the most popular ranges on Mimitoys.ie. We noticed more and more teachers, play therapists, and SNAs searching specifically for high-quality puppets. We gathered that these educational professionals often typed “puppets Ireland” or “puppets for schools” expecting a specific and 100% relevant lising from search engine such as Google.

Having a dedicated website with a clear name makes it easier for schools and professionals to find us. The name Puppets Ireland instantly says what we do (Puppets) and where we are (irish business based in Ireland). It ranks well on search engines and is easy to remember.

Who is the "we" - A note from Myriam

My name is Myriam Doyle and I launched PuppetsIreland.ie in September 2022 from my home/office/warehouse in Summerhill, Co. Meath. I am not new to puppets or fun and educational toys, I’ve been running Mimitoys.ie since 2004.

The idea behind Puppets Ireland came from the same place as Mimitoys: a deep interest in children’s development through play, and a love for running our own small Irish business. Although our four children are now teenagers or in college and no longer testing the toys for us (!), I stay closely connected to what’s needed in the classroom and the therapy room. I regularly exhibit and showcase the extensive range of puppets at various conferences and events attended by play therapists, child psychologists, teachers and other educational professionals. 

I love running an e-commerce site—it’s creative, fast-moving and always evolving. From buying to marketing to the website itself, I’m hands-on in every part of the business.
